Is there a future for robot butlers connected to a home automation system?

QBMT, a Belgian company that develops software for the Zora robot, dreams of a future of robot butlers connected to a home automation system. Zora (acronym of “Zorg (health), Ouderen (elderly), Revalidatie (revalidation) and Animatie (Animation)”) is one the first humanoid robots to be used in the healthcare industry.

QBMT wishes to develop robot butlers for other industries and predicts a future for these kind of robots in private homes. The robot would be a 3D robot butler that would memorise the contents of the refrigerator for instance and – connected to a home automation system – would offer more comfort in private homes.
