Google has recently launched its operating system platform Brillo intended for Internet-connected devices (Internet of Things). Brillo is designed for devices with smaller computing and memory footprints (thermostat, refrigerator, etc.). The platform consist of 3 components: an embedded operating system based on Android, a software developer kit and core services. It will support Bluetooth low energy and Wi-Fi. At the 2016 CES of Las Vegas, several manufacturers announced their collaboration with Brillo: LG, Asus, Harman, Kwikset and Marvell.
