The growth of a more intelligent environment requires that all smart appliances, mostly stand-alone, are efficiently connected. The control of these smart appliances can be done by an integrated home automation system that reduces energy consumption and increases comfort. Therefore it’s important that all these appliances can recognize each other. The integration of these appliances with their proper protocol will hopefully stimulate automation manufacturers to develop an API that will enable all these smart appliances to communicatie with each other.
