Two new European research projects on home automation have been approved. HEREiAM and ENRICHME focus on technological solutions in order to improve the quality of health care.
HEREiAM
The European research project “HEREiAM” consists of different stakeholders (Belgium (Remedus), the Netherlands, Italy, Romania, etc.) working together on a service platform for a specific target group of self-sufficient elderly people who want to be independent as long as possible in the management of personal and social tasks. These services will be put at their disposal by a TV in order to increase their independency. The project will use Internet via satellite in order to reach elderly in remote houses.
ENRICHME
The European research project “ENRICHME” (“ENabling Robot and assisted living environment for Independent Care and Health Monitoring of the Elderly”) focuses on:
- developing a reliable 24/7 non-invasive psychological and daily life activity monitoring of the elderly at home
- supporting carers
- delivering services for social inclusion of carers and elderly at home
The developments will be based on the further elaboration of artificial intelligence, the improvement of the interaction between man and technology and machine learning algorithms.
