A study on the application of integrated home automation with vulnerable people has been published in January 2015.
Some of the findings:
- Good guidelines on the use of integrated home automation are needed.
- Taking earlier into consideration the ethical questions in the process: “these questions have to be raised at the stage of conception of an integrated home automation product. By appealing to the knowledge of the health care professional in this stage, it will be possible to take the ethical aspects of a product in development into account”, according to researcher Alistair Niemeijer.
